NetSuite 2025.1 is here—and it’s packed with powerful updates designed to boost efficiency, personalization, and user experience across the platform. From the launch of Prompt Studio for AI-generated content to major enhancements in mobile supply chain management, this release empowers businesses to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and stay ahead in an evolving digital landscape. Explore the most impactful features, real-world use cases, and why this release matters for your organization.
Prompt Studio – Overview
Prompt Studio is NetSuite’s new tool to manage AI-generated prompts used in Text Enhance and SuiteScript.
It allows users to reword or improve content in NetSuite, customize prompts, and track changes via audit logs.
Developers can reference saved prompts in SuiteScript without hardcoding, and two new custom objects are now available for SDF: prompt and textenhanceaction.
This feature is only available in accounts that support generative AI.
NetSuite 2025.1 – CSV Import Enhancements
NetSuite now supports CSV import for two additional record types: Item Fulfillment and Item Receipt.
Item Fulfillment can now be imported directly using the Import Assistant, allowing for faster bulk shipping processes.
Item Receipt imports update return authorizations, inventory, and return statuses—streamlining returns management.
- Pros: saves time, no scripting required, ideal for high-volume logistics.
- Cons: requires strict formatting, lacks dynamic logic, and error messages may be unclear.
- Use Cases: e-commerce order fulfillment, returns processing, third-party system integration, and data migration projects.
Customer 360 Enhancements – NetSuite 2025.1
Customer 360 now offers expanded visibility with new tabs and metrics. Recent Activities includes more transaction types, and a new “See Customer History” link provides full interaction context.
Product Recommendations now display prices and frequently purchased items, which can be easily added to sales records.
Sales Performance adds “Sales This Year” and replaces All-Time Sales with Customer Lifetime Value.
New tabs include Opportunities & Estimates, Orders & Returns, and Receivables.
Benefits: a centralized view for better decision-making, sales insights, and improved customer service.
Quality Management SuiteApp – 2025.1
Two major enhancements boost quality assurance capabilities.
Statistical Sampling allows targeted inspections based on item type, transaction, or volume—ideal for compliance-driven QA.
Receipt Return Authorization Workflow automatically triggers return processes for non-compliant lot and serial numbers after inspections.
Mobile Customization Enhancements – 2025.1
NetSuite continues to empower mobile administrators with new no-code customization options. Admins can now add action buttons to standard pages, clone and customize data tables, and configure auto-submission for clicks.
These features improve efficiency and support field operations where quick interaction is key.
Why it matters: enables tailored workflows for teams on the move—especially in warehouse and field service contexts.
NetSuite Expert in SuiteAnswers
A new AI-powered feature enhances the SuiteAnswers search experience.
Users can now enter natural language questions (3+ words) and receive summarized answers with source links.
NetSuite Expert uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and accesses official documentation for accuracy.
Important: Available only in U.S./Canada for English content.
Users should verify AI-generated summaries and consult source articles for critical details.
Mobile Supply Chain Enhancements – NetSuite 2025.1
NetSuite 2025.1 enhances its mobile-first strategy with updates to Manufacturing Mobile and Ship Central. Users can now select bins when issuing components, print GS1 barcodes, and view pause reasons during production. Ship Central adds support for carton reuse, scale integration, bulk label printing, and improved international shipping features.
Inventory Management (WMS) adds more flexibility with pick task decomposition, partial reversals, replenishment via cart, tally scanning in custom units, a “Receive All” PO option, CSV import for bin transfers, and a new pick failure report.
Supply Planning now allows scoped data refreshes, supplier filtering in the planning workbench, and item-level filtering in planned order searches.
Manufacturing improvements include support for new routing connection types and the ability to insert, delete, or reorder operation tasks more freely.
Benefits: a centralized view for better decision-making, sales insights, and improved customer service.
Fixed Assets Management
The Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp now supports mid-life leases, allowing users to add leases that began outside of NetSuite. A new checkbox marks the lease as mid-life, and users can enter previously recognized interest periods to avoid duplicate accounting. This ensures smooth integration of existing lease data into NetSuite’s framework.
Localization
NetSuite 2025.1 brings significant localization enhancements across regions, focusing on compliance, reporting, and e-invoicing. Brazil sees improvements in banking integration, electronic invoicing, and tax reports. Denmark gains a new SAF-T reporting tool, while Germany and Spain expand VAT reporting capabilities.
In Asia, Malaysia and Singapore receive updates to electronic invoicing, including support for consolidated invoices, international standards (PINT), and multi-book accounting. The Philippines gets revised invoice templates and tax breakdowns for better VAT compliance. Additional updates to the Localization Assistant and SAF-T Framework improve customization and regional adaptability.
